Madison, WI., -- 03/01/2005
Schwinn Bicycles is proud to announce its 2005
MTB and BMX teams. For 110 years, Schwinn,
one of America’s most recognizable brands, has
provided top quality bicycles built for speed.
The lore and legend of Schwinn is unmatched.
Great bicycles call for great riders, and the
2004 Schwinn team is a powder keg.

“We’ve assembled a great Schwinn team for
2005,” saidTravis Chipres, Schwinn’s sports
marketing director. “With support from our
partners, dealers and fans everywhere, we’re
looking forward to another great year.”

“The famous Sting frame is back and TJ’s bike
has been updated as well,” said Chuck McFarland,
Schwinn product manager, BMX. “We’ve got the
product and the people to make this a great year
for Schwinn.”

BMX:
Show stopper, role model and Vegas player …
TJ Lavin (dirt) does it all. More comfortable in theair
than most of us are on the ground, TJ will bring big
style and big air on his Schwinn signature model to
comps around the world this year.

Look for tough guy Tom Stober (vert) to drop in
with nofear and push the limits of man and machine.

Now in his sophomore year on the Schwinn team,
Tom trains and lives at the world famous Woodward
Camp in Pennsylvania and teaches young BMX riders
in his free time. Tom’s one towatch in ’05.

One of 2004’s big success stories was Nate Berkheimer
(race/dirt). Nate led the Schwinn BMX race team and
placed 4th at the UCI World’s and is sure to be hot in 2005.
Look for Nate, his Schwinn Sting and the checkered flag to
be a recurring theme this year. Nate also competes in dirt
jumping and placed 9th at his first King of Dirt contest in
2004.

Cesar Flores (dirt/street) makes his pro debut in 2005.
Cesar cut his teeth riding on the Schwinn Stunt Show
team, and if he continues to throw down like we know
he can, it’s going to be an exciting inaugural season for
Mr. Flores.

MTB:
Schwinn’s history of mountain bike world
champions lives on with Judd DeVall (DH/4X),
who has brought Schwinn backinto the limelight
of mountain bike racing and beyond. Judd is
committed to winning as well as educating riders
about competitive cycling, bike safety and wilderness
preservation to keep trials opento riders.

Schwinn also boasts a traveling stunt show team that performs
weekly at nationwide locations. Riders perform on a half-pipe,
a quarter-pipe, a box jump and demonstrate flatland riding
duringthe show to amaze both new and old BMX fans. From
sold-outNBA halftime shows to local bike shop promotions,
the Schwinnstunt show team does it all with style.

Founded in 1895, Schwinn is an American icon and has built
some of the best-known and best-loved bicycles of all time.
A world leaderin technology and fabrication, Schwinn has
been an indispensableplayer in revolutionizing bicycling
around the world. With a continueddedication to quality,
forever synonymous with the Schwinn name, America’s
